Ovation at Meridian

Ovation at Meridian is a gated 55+ active adult community of 795 single-story homes tucked inside the larger Meridian master-planned development in Queen Creek, Arizona — a fast-growing East Valley suburb roughly 35 miles southeast of downtown Phoenix. Taylor Morrison (which absorbed original builder William Lyon Homes) broke ground in 2019 and is still building new homes, with four floor plans currently offered ranging from about 1,461 to 2,499 square feet, most configured as two or three bedrooms with a den, 2 to 3 baths, and an attached two-car garage. New construction pricing generally runs from the high $300s to the mid $600s, with resales trending similarly. The centerpiece of daily life is The Ovation Club, a roughly 13,500-square-foot private clubhouse reserved exclusively for residents. Inside, members find a full fitness center with dedicated yoga studio, arts and crafts studio, billiards room, locker rooms, a banquet hall/grand ballroom, and multiple lounge and gathering spaces built around social programming. Step outside and the resort-style footprint continues: a heated outdoor pool and spa, shaded pavilion with bar and BBQ, fire pit, event lawn, four pickleball courts, two lighted tennis courts, two bocce courts, a putting and chipping green, walking and biking trails, a dog park, and a butterfly garden certified by the National Wildlife Federation. Security is handled through a staffed gated entrance. Social life revolves around a full monthly calendar of events and resident-run clubs — arts and crafts, bocce, pickleball, tennis, yoga, swimming, and a range of fitness classes — drawing a relatively young, active 55+ crowd that tends to skew toward pickleball culture and outdoor desert living. Homes are low-maintenance by design: the HOA handles front-yard landscaping, irrigation water, trash, and common-area upkeep, which frees residents up to spend more time using the amenities and exploring the region. A key differentiator is the parent community. Ovation sits inside Meridian, a larger master plan with its own separate amenities that Ovation residents can also enjoy — an equestrian arena and riding trails, community garden, outdoor movie ramada, community fireplace, scenic boulder gardens, and 229 acres of open space and parks. Horse enthusiasts in particular are rare to find this well served in a 55+ setting. Notably, Ovation has no buy-in fee and no upfront or annual Community Facilities District (CFD) fees, which is unusual for the Phoenix metro. Location is a major draw. Queen Creek itself has exploded with shopping, dining, and entertainment in the last decade — Queen Creek Marketplace, Olive Mill, and the Queen Creek Performing Arts Center are all minutes away. Banner Ironwood Medical Center is about 3 miles out.
