Horizons at Woodlake Greens is a 209-home, 55+ active adult community spread across roughly 90 acres of conservation-adjacent land on the Lakewood/Brick border in Ocean County, New Jersey. The neighborhood has a twisted development history — it was originally launched as Legacy at Woodlake Greens by Kara Homes, a national builder that went bankrupt mid-project. A local builder finished a handful of homes, and then Ryan Homes acquired the community in 2011 and completed build-out under the Horizons name through 2014. The result is a cohesive neighborhood of brick-front single-family homes on private lots, many of which back directly onto the Woodlake Country Club golf course for scenic views and added privacy.
