Belcaro is a 47-acre, guard-gated 55+ community of 275 homes tucked into Valencia, California — roughly 40 miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles in the Santa Clarita Valley. Built by New Urban West Inc. between 2003 and 2008, the community was designed from the ground up for active adults who want a resort-style lifestyle without leaving the Los Angeles area. Homes run from the high $700Ks into the $900Ks, with a median right around $825K. The community is organized into two collections. The Greens features detached single-family homes from roughly 1,673 to 2,430 square feet, many with courtyard entries, two or three bedrooms, and main-floor primary suites. The Liberty collection wraps the perimeter with attached homes from about 1,830 to 2,500 square feet, including a floor plan with a detached casita that works beautifully as a guest suite, home office, or space for extended family. Architecture leans Spanish and Prairie, with seven flexible design options across the two collections.
