Sunset Ridge is an established active adult community in Ocean Isle Beach, North Carolina, developed by Bill Clark Homes starting in 2007 and completed in 2021 with 258 single-family homes and townhomes. Though marketed as a 55+ active adult community, Sunset Ridge has a welcoming mix of residents who are drawn here by the coastal lifestyle rather than strict age enforcement. The community sits on the mainland side of Ocean Isle Beach, just off Seaside Road SW, placing residents roughly 2.5 miles from Sunset Beach — a barrier island named one of the best beaches in the world by National Geographic — and only a few minutes from Ocean Isle Beach itself. Bill Clark Homes, an area builder with more than 40 years of experience, designed Sunset Ridge around coastal-bungalow and craftsman-style architecture with open floor plans and one-level living. Single-family homes range roughly 1,406 to 2,557 square feet with two- and three-bedroom layouts, while attached townhomes/villas run approximately 1,180 to 1,381 square feet. Popular plans include the Lanai, Ashton, Fletcher, and Dunes single-family models, along with the Shoreline and Seagrass villa townhomes.
