Heritage at St. Charles is a gated, age-restricted 55+ active adult community tucked inside the massive St. Charles master-planned development in White Plains, Maryland (Charles County). Built by Lennar starting in 2006 and now sold out at 352 homes, the community offers a mix of single-level and two-story single-family homes along with a smaller number of attached villas, meaning residents can downsize into a villa or stretch out in a 3,500-square-foot detached home without leaving the neighborhood. The heart of community life is the private Heritage Clubhouse — a resort-style facility exclusively for residents. Inside you'll find a card and billiards room, a fully equipped catering kitchen, a multi-purpose room, a craft room with kitchenette, a dedicated exercise room, a library/computer room, and a formal dining room used for meals and club meetings. The indoor pool and spa stay open year-round, and there's also a sauna. Outdoors, residents gather on the clubhouse patio and deck during warmer months, and a network of walking and biking trails weaves through the neighborhood past five scenic ponds — a defining visual feature of the community.
