Mirada is a 5,000-home master-planned community in San Antonio, Florida, tucked into northeastern Pasco County just off I-75 about 30 miles north of downtown Tampa. Developed by Metro Development Group (part of MetroPlaces) with Encore Capital Management, Mirada's defining feature is its 15-acre MetroLagoon by Crystal Lagoons — the largest man-made lagoon in Florida and one of the largest in the country. The lagoon is the community's social heart: a beach-style destination with sandy shores, crystal-clear swimmable water, kayaking, paddleboarding, an event lawn, and a full calendar of resident events, concerts, and holiday gatherings. Within the larger Mirada master plan, Lennar operates a dedicated 55+ Active Adult neighborhood (sometimes marketed as Medley at Mirada or Lennar's Active Adult Collection at Mirada) with its own gated section, private clubhouse, and resort-style amenities exclusively for residents 55 and better. The 55+ piece is planned at roughly 800+ attached villas and single-family homes.
