Mirada

Mirada is a 5,000-home master-planned community in San Antonio, Florida, tucked into northeastern Pasco County just off I-75 about 30 miles north of downtown Tampa. Developed by Metro Development Group (part of MetroPlaces) with Encore Capital Management, Mirada's defining feature is its 15-acre MetroLagoon by Crystal Lagoons — the largest man-made lagoon in Florida and one of the largest in the country. The lagoon is the community's social heart: a beach-style destination with sandy shores, crystal-clear swimmable water, kayaking, paddleboarding, an event lawn, and a full calendar of resident events, concerts, and holiday gatherings. Within the larger Mirada master plan, Lennar operates a dedicated 55+ Active Adult neighborhood (sometimes marketed as Medley at Mirada or Lennar's Active Adult Collection at Mirada) with its own gated section, private clubhouse, and resort-style amenities exclusively for residents 55 and better. The 55+ piece is planned at roughly 800+ attached villas and single-family homes. Villas run approximately 1,398–1,747 sq ft with two bedrooms, while single-family homes range from about 1,683 to 2,775 sq ft with two to three bedrooms, two to three-and-a-half baths, and two- or three-car garages. All Mirada homes come with ULTRAFi high-speed internet (included in HOA) and are wired for smart-home devices. The 55+ Medley Club is a state-of-the-art amenity campus featuring a resort-style pool with lap lanes, fitness center, yoga studio, card room, event space, grand ballroom, sport courts for pickleball, bocce, and shuffleboard, plus an on-site bar/café and dining room. 55+ residents have full access to all community-wide Mirada amenities in addition to Medley — including the MetroLagoon, dog parks, miles of trails, tot lots and playgrounds, fishing ponds, and the Market at Mirada town center with a Publix, shops, and restaurants right inside the community. Mirada is golf-cart friendly throughout. Beyond the 55+ section, the broader Mirada includes multiple builders — Lennar, D.R.
