Esplanade at Wiregrass Ranch is a gated, guard-attended 55+ resort-style community by Taylor Morrison in Wesley Chapel, Florida, about 30 minutes north of downtown Tampa. Construction began in Summer 2019, and at buildout the community will span more than 480 acres with 868 single-family and detached villa homes. It was named the 2023 Single-Family Community of the Year by the Tampa Bay Builders Association and represents Taylor Morrison's first age-restricted development in the Tampa Bay Area. The community is built around its preserved wetlands, lakes, and native Florida landscape, giving the neighborhood a distinctive character that pairs Esplanade's signature California Tuscan architecture — tile roofs, ornamental stucco detailing, tray ceilings, crown molding, and designer landscaping — with a more naturalistic setting past the front gate. Homes range from roughly 1,689 to 3,697 square feet across roughly a dozen single-family and villa floor plans (Roma, Lazio, Arezzo, Farnese, Pallazio and others), with 2 to 5 bedrooms, open-concept interiors, smart home features, and extensive structural and design options through Taylor Morrison's Canvas design studio. Villas are attached homes on 45-foot lots; single-family homes sit on a mix of larger lots, many backing to wetlands or water views.
