Destinations at Vineyard Point is a gated, solar-powered 55+ community built by Lennar in southeast Sacramento, about 13 miles from downtown. Development began in 2011 and wrapped up with 177 single-family homes by 2017, making this a fully built-out, resale-only community today. The homes are deliberately compact and low-maintenance — five floor plans (Catalina, Mendocino, Pebble Beach, Sedona, and Napa Valley) ranging from 996 to 1,314 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and attached one- or two-car garages.
