Sun City Apple Valley — also marketed as Solera at Apple Valley — is a gated Del Webb 55+ active adult community tucked into California's High Desert on the northern edge of the Inland Empire, about 40 miles north of San Bernardino through the scenic Cajon Pass. The community opened in 2004 and was planned for 1,700 single-family homes across roughly 20 floor plans ranging from about 1,099 to 2,453 square feet, with 2-3 bedrooms, 2-3 baths, and two or two-and-a-half-car garages.
