Lincoln Prairie by Del Webb is a gated 55+ active adult community in Aurora, Illinois, about 40 miles west of downtown Chicago. It's a milestone project for Del Webb — their first new Illinois community in 15 years — and since its October 2022 grand opening it's quickly become one of the best-selling 55+ communities in Chicagoland, with first residents moving in April 2023 and over 200 homes sold in the opening phase. At full build-out, Lincoln Prairie will include 800 ranch-style single-family homes spread across three distinct Del Webb series: the Scenic Series (efficient 2-bedroom ranches starting around 1,500 sq ft, ideal for singles and couples), the Distinctive Series (mid-size ranches with up to 4 bedrooms and optional lofts), and the flagship Echelon Series (spacious entertainer homes with up to 4 bedrooms, 3-car garages, and optional second stories). Ten floor plans are offered in total — Vista, Meadow, Mirage, Prosperity, Mystique, Palmary, Prestige, Stardom, Stellar, and Renown — ranging from 1,502 to 2,754 square feet.
