Outside the clubhouse are an outdoor pool, a children's pool for visiting grandkids, tennis courts, bocce courts, a community garden, a gazebo, walking paths, and a 3-hole golf course that the resident Carillon Golf Club somehow manages to play as nine on Sunday mornings. Home options span 23 floor plans across three product types: single-family ranch homes (roughly 960 to 3,300 sq ft), attached townhomes (1,400 to 2,600 sq ft), and condominiums (960 to 1,370 sq ft). Residents frequently mention the construction quality — 2x6 exterior walls were used throughout, which is unusual for this segment. Popular models include the Nicklaus ranch townhome, the Monte Carlo ranch with full basement, the Greenbriar, and the Clark. Homes feature open-concept layouts, sunrooms, patios, and heated sunrooms on many plans. The HOA covers lawn care, mulching, snow plowing, water, sewer, trash removal, and common-area maintenance, with monthly fees ranging from $313 to $619 depending on product type. The trade-offs worth knowing: downtown Chicago is a 40-mile drive, and the Route 59 Metra station is a 6-mile drive north (about an hour's ride into the city from there), so this is not a walk-to-transit community. A proposed closer Metra stop has been discussed but not built. Rush Copley Medical Center sits four miles away for emergency care.
