Lago Vista is a gated 55+ active adult community spread across more than 350 acres in southwest suburban Lockport, Illinois, about 40 minutes from downtown Chicago and eight miles northeast of Joliet. Originally launched by Hartz Homes in 2004 and planned for roughly 832 ranch-style residences at build-out, the community continues to grow — D.R. Golf courses are plentiful in the surrounding Will County area, and downtown Chicago is roughly 40 minutes away for day trips, sports, and shows.
