Douglass Village is a 55+ manufactured home community in Douglassville, Pennsylvania, tucked into Berks County just off Route 422 between Reading and Pottstown. Construction began in 2005, and the community has grown to 333 homesites with new builds still available. Eleven model plans have historically been available with extensive customization options. The centerpiece of social life is a modern clubhouse with a banquet/ballroom, fitness center, hobby and game room, card room, library, demonstration kitchen, multi-purpose meeting rooms, and a lounge. The entrance sits steps from a Walmart Supercenter, 7-Eleven, post office, and everyday dining, and Coventry Mall is about seven minutes away. Blackwood Golf Course is next door, Pottstown Hospital is roughly 5 miles east, Reading is 12 miles west, and Philadelphia is about 35 miles down I-76. The Schuylkill River Trail — a 120-mile multi-use path stretching from the Pocono region to Philadelphia — is accessible nearby for longer rides and walks.
