Wildflowers at Wallkill is a gated 55+ active adult community of 283 single-family homes tucked into a wooded corner of Middletown in Orange County, New York — roughly 65 miles north of New York City and firmly within the Hudson Valley. Development began in 2007 under Orleans Homes, and after a pause during the housing downturn, Lennar Homes took over in 2015 and completed the neighborhood in 2017. The community is fully built out, so all activity now is resale — meaning buyers get mature landscaping, established neighbors, and a community that has already found its rhythm. Homes range from roughly 1,400 to nearly 2,400 square feet with two or three bedrooms, two to three bathrooms, and attached two-car garages.
