Foxwood Village

Foxwood Village is a gated 55+ manufactured home community tucked into a country setting in Calverton, New York, on the western edge of Long Island's North Fork. The community was originally completed in 1985 by its founding developer and expanded through 2007, ultimately growing to 294 home sites along tree-lined streets and manicured lawns with three scenic ponds woven through the neighborhood. Hometown America acquired the property in a portfolio deal, and it remains under their management today. Homes here are detached single-family manufactured ranches set on concrete foundations, most with basements and an attached one-car garage — an unusual combination for a manufactured home community and one of the things that draws buyers who want single-level living without giving up storage or workshop space. Foxwood Village sits just off Middle Road in Calverton, about three miles from I-495 (Long Island Expressway) and roughly a mile from four different shopping areas, with Tanger Outlets about ten minutes away and Costco and big-box retail down the road in Riverhead. Peconic Bay Medical Center is minutes away, and the community is within 30 miles of Long Island MacArthur Airport. North Fork wine country begins about 14 miles north, the Hamptons' beaches and villages are less than an hour to the south, and Wildwood and Brookhaven State Parks offer miles of hiking and biking nearby. Manhattan is roughly a two-hour drive, and the Calverton/Riverhead LIRR service connects to Penn Station with one transfer.
