PGA Village Verano is a gated, resort-style master-planned community in Port St. Lucie, Florida, developed by Kolter Homes on the Treasure Coast. In development since 2008 and currently in its ninth phase of homesite releases, the community is planned for approximately 1,800 single-family homes and villas at build-out, with new construction still ongoing alongside a healthy resale market. The community is all-ages but lives like an active adult community — residents skew heavily 55+, and Cresswind at PGA Village Verano is a dedicated age-restricted 55+ neighborhood within the gates for buyers who want a deed-restricted section. It is the only new home community in Florida directly affiliated with the PGA Golf Club, and residents get a complimentary PGA membership with golf discounts plus golf cart access to the club's 54 holes of championship golf designed by Tom Fazio and Pete Dye — consistently ranked among Golf Digest's '75 Best Golf Resorts in North America.' The centerpiece of social life is Club Talavera, a ~27,000 sq ft clubhouse with a lounge and bar, billiards parlor, card room, arts and crafts studio, demonstration kitchen, library, lifelong learning classroom, and a multi-purpose ballroom with catering kitchen. Adjacent to the clubhouse is a ~13,000 sq ft Fitness & Training Center featuring EGYM smart equipment, a full weight and cardio room, aerobics/yoga studio, saunas, massage room, and locker rooms. Water enthusiasts have three pools to choose from: a lakeside resort-style outdoor pool with cabanas and sundeck, a heated Junior Olympic indoor lap pool with spa, and a dedicated resistance pool. The undisputed crown jewel, however, is the Pickleball Center — 27 courts, the largest private pickleball complex in South Florida — which won Outdoor Pickleball Facility of the Year in 2020 and supports one of the most active pickleball communities in the state. Additional amenities include five Har-Tru clay tennis courts, bocce courts, basketball courts, a playground, miles of walking and biking trails, and a golf-cart-friendly layout inside two manned guard gates. A full-time Lifestyle Director keeps the calendar packed, and residents have organized 100+ clubs, interest groups, and activities — everything from cards and crafts to fitness classes and social events. Kolter builds 16–18 floor plans across multiple collections, ranging from 2-bedroom Bella Vista villas (~1,400–1,800 sq ft) through Modena single-family designs and the larger Hepburn and Palmero collections reaching up to ~3,500 sq ft, 5-bedroom estate homes. Each plan offers an average of 20–31 structural options — in-law suites, second owner's suites, fitness rooms, bonus rooms, extended lanais, summer kitchens — so nearly every home is personalized. Standard construction includes CBS block construction, flat or barrel tile roofs, impact glass and impact doors, transom windows, paver driveways, and volume ceilings. Pricing currently starts in the mid-$300s for villas and runs up into the $800s for larger lakefront and estate homes, with a median recent sale around $499K. The location is a genuine asset. PGA Village Verano sits in the northwest quadrant of Port St. Lucie, minutes from I-95 and Florida's Turnpike. The Treasure Coast's 21 miles of Atlantic beaches, Jensen Beach, and Hutchinson Island are a short drive east; Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, and West Palm Beach are roughly 40–50 minutes south; and Orlando is about 90 minutes north. Three hospital systems — Cleveland Clinic Martin Health, HCA Florida St. Lucie, and Lawnwood Regional Medical Center — provide full-service care nearby, and Clover Park (the New York Mets' spring training home) is just down the road. For buyers who want golf-resort living, serious pickleball, and a social calendar they'll actually use — without the price tag of a Jupiter or Palm Beach Gardens country club — PGA Village Verano delivers a rare combination.
