Esplanade at Artisan Lakes

Esplanade at Artisan Lakes is a gated 55+ active adult community in Palmetto, Florida, developed by Taylor Morrison under their national Esplanade resort-lifestyle brand. Construction ran from 2013 to 2024, ultimately delivering roughly 800 single-family homes and villas on an 800-acre site dotted with lakes, nature preserves, winding streets, and mature trees. The community is now sold out of new construction, with resales handled on the open market. Taylor Morrison drew from California-Tuscan architecture for the home designs, offered across multiple collections with floor plans ranging from roughly 1,573 to 3,323 square feet. Most homes feature first-floor primary suites, open-concept living, energy-efficient construction, two- or three-car garages, and lanais overlooking ponds or preserves. Popular models include the Roma villa, the Arezzo, the Matera, and the larger single-family Taylor Morrison Esplanade plans. Residents enjoy two amenity centers. The main Amenity Center anchors the community with a 6,000-square-foot clubhouse, a 24-hour fitness center, an aerobics and dance studio, a library, a card room, craft room, lounge, catering kitchen, day spa, concierge desk, resort-style heated pool and spa, resistance pool, covered lanai, barbecue and fire-pit areas, event lawn, bocce courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, walking and biking trails, and a fenced dog park. The Venue II on Orsello Street is a satellite amenity center in the north section of the community, offering additional pool, hot tub, and indoor gathering space on a self-access basis from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Lifestyle here is driven by a full-time, on-site Lifestyle Management Team that programs fitness classes, wellness events, social gatherings, and themed culinary experiences. Resident-run clubs include a long-running book club, a recipe-sharing group, community card and game nights, bocce, pickleball, tennis leagues, aerobics, water fitness, and golf-cart parades for community events. A signature perk is the community's Dog Concierge Program — an unusual amenity in Florida 55+ communities that provides pet-focused services for residents' dogs. The community sits on 800 acres between Tampa Bay and Bradenton in northern Manatee County, just off Moccasin Wallow Road less than a mile west of I-75. Residents are maintenance-free on the exterior (lawn care is bundled into the HOA, along with cable and internet), and the community is gated with two entries — the main gate on Inglenook Terrace and a resident-only gate onto Seasons Way. Golf carts are allowed on community streets with registration. The stonework bridge entrance is a distinctive architectural signature. Because the community is fully built out, buyers today are shopping the resale market, with pricing spanning roughly the mid-$400Ks for villas up to around $950K for the largest single-family estate homes on premium lakefront or preserve lots.
