Boca Royale Golf & Country Club is a 1,000-acre gated, semi-private country club community in Englewood, Florida, in southern Sarasota County — now considered part of the broader Wellen Park area just south of Venice. The community dates back to the early 1970s and has been organically developed ever since, which gives it a distinctive look and feel: mature oaks, stately palms, 150+ acres of lakes and preserves, and a mix of architectural styles rather than the cookie-cutter uniformity of newer master-planned communities. The centerpiece is an 18-hole, par-72 semi-private golf course that was completely renovated by architect Gordy Lewis and reopened in late 2024, featuring Seashore Paspalum grass, a driving range, putting green, chipping/pitching area, sand practice bunker, and a well-stocked pro shop.
