Del Webb Rancho Mirage is a premier 55+ active adult community developed by Pulte Homes in the heart of California's Coachella Valley. Spanning approximately 380 acres near the intersection of Dinah Shore Drive and Bob Hope Drive, the gated community is planned for roughly 1,026 to 1,047 single-family homes spread across six neighborhoods, with construction that began in summer 2018 and continues in phases. Del Webb Rancho Mirage is Pulte's third Del Webb community in the Coachella Valley, following Sun City Palm Desert (1992) and Sun City Shadow Hills (2003), and it brings a more contemporary, resort-oriented feel than either of its predecessors. Homes are all single-story and come in 10 customizable floor plans ranging from the two-bedroom, 1,438-square-foot Getaway up to the three-bedroom, 2,726-square-foot Voyage. Designs carry inviting names like Solitude, Sanctuary, Serenity, Journey, and Haven, and are offered in Spanish- or Tuscan-inspired exteriors. Homes are built on fee-simple land (owners own the lot, not a leased parcel), with standard features including covered patios, post-tension slabs, smart-home/internet pre-wiring, and energy-efficient construction. Two-car garages are standard, with third-car options on select plans. A mix of resale and new-construction inventory is typically available. The social and recreational hub is The Outlook, a 20,000-square-foot clubhouse that opened in 2019. Inside, residents find a state-of-the-art fitness center, aerobics and dance/yoga studio, billiards room, golf simulator, library, wine room, card/multipurpose rooms, and a grand multi-purpose ballroom that seats more than 200. Outside, there are resort-style pools (both open-air and covered) with lap lanes and a spa, four tennis courts, eight pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, a putting green, and an outdoor terrace and event lawn. More than six miles of walking and biking trails wind through the neighborhoods, and a dog park rounds out the on-site amenities. A full-time Lifestyle/Activities Director programs the calendar, with active groups that include pickleball, bocce, tennis, swimming, hiking, a theater group, book and bridge clubs, dance classes, wine tastings, holiday parties, and community socials. Location is a major draw. Del Webb Rancho Mirage sits centrally between Palm Springs and Palm Desert, minutes from the I-10, Eisenhower Medical Center, The River shopping center, Agua Caliente Casino Resort & Spa, and The Westin Mission Hills Golf Resort (directly across the street). The Coachella Valley is home to more than 200 public and private golf courses, and Palm Springs International Airport is roughly seven miles away. Joshua Tree National Park, San Bernardino National Forest, El Paseo shopping in Palm Desert, the McCallum Theatre, and mid-century modern Palm Springs are all within easy reach. With about 350 sunny days a year, mountain views on nearly every lot, and a guard-gated 24/7 security presence, Del Webb Rancho Mirage delivers a lock-and-leave desert lifestyle aimed squarely at active adults who want resort living without leaving home.
