The Courtyards at Brandywine (also known as the Village of Brandywine) is a gated 55+ community of 184 attached carriage-style townhomes built by McKee Builders between 2009 and 2018, tucked into the heart of the historic Brandywine Valley along Route 202 in North Wilmington, Delaware. The community sits just a few minutes from the Pennsylvania state line, putting residents inside Delaware's tax-free shopping zone while still being a short drive to Chadds Ford, West Chester, and Philadelphia. Homes come in six distinct architectural styles, grouped in clusters of three to six attached residences, and most feature two or three bedrooms, two-and-a-half baths, a first-floor owner's suite, a full basement, and an attached two-car garage. Many plans include private courtyards, balconies, or open-air decks — the feature that gives the community its name.
