About Hawk Pointe

Hawk Pointe is a 55+ community in Washington Township, New Jersey, built around an 18-hole Kelly Blake Moran championship golf course on a 325-acre preserved site. It combines the original Reserve neighborhood (120 homes, 2003–2006) with newer Ryan Homes sections from 2019 on. Residents enjoy a private community clubhouse plus discounted access to the golf club's pool, tennis, fitness center, and Tavern Room restaurant — all with low $155/month HOA fees and a 30-year tax abatement on new construction.

Hawk Pointe is a 55+ active adult community set within a 325-acre master-planned development in Washington Township, Warren County, New Jersey — the rolling, rural northwest corner of the state roughly between Allentown and New York City. The community was conceived by lifelong Warren County resident Richard Cotton as a balance of open space and development: roughly 80% of the site was preserved as parks, recreation, wetlands, and wooded corridors, with the 18-hole, par-72 Hawk Pointe Golf Club — designed by Kelly Blake Moran and opened in 2000 — forming the heart of the property. The community is made up of two distinct 55+ neighborhoods. The Reserve at Hawk Pointe is the original section of 120 attached and single-family homes built between 2003 and 2006. Attached villas range from roughly 1,742 to 2,547 square feet with two to four bedrooms, nine-foot ceilings, full basements, and two-car garages, while the 96 single-family homes run from about 2,163 to 2,946 square feet. The newer Village at Hawk Pointe section, built by Ryan Homes starting in 2019, adds roughly 85 attached homes averaging 1,742 square feet as well as single-family plans from about 1,421 to 2,626 square feet, many with first-floor owner's suites, sunroom or covered-porch options, and optional second stories. New Ryan Homes inventory comes with a 30-year tax abatement program and a 10-year structural warranty. Amenities revolve around two anchors. The Reserve has its own private community clubhouse exclusive to 55+ residents, with a fitness room, locker rooms, library, demonstration kitchen, billiards, meeting rooms, an outdoor pool and patio, bocce courts, and scenic ponds woven through the neighborhood. A short walk or drive away, homeowners can join the Hawk Pointe Golf Club at a discounted resident rate, which unlocks the championship course, driving range and putting green, Tavern Room restaurant and bar, pro shop, a resort-style swimming pool, Har-Tru tennis courts, a Nautilus-equipped fitness center with sauna and steam room, and a grand banquet room used for weddings and private events. A full-time activities director organizes golf, tennis, and special-interest groups, and the club has hosted NJSGA, MGA, and PGA junior events since 2000. Day-to-day life is easy: ShopRite, Anytime Fitness, Starbucks, and a handful of restaurants sit less than a mile from the gates, and Hunterdon Healthcare is also within a mile. Downtown Washington adds cafés and diners, while Spruce Run Recreation Area, Ken Lockwood Gorge, Merrill Creek Reservoir, Voorhees State Park, and the Red Mill Museum Village are all short drives for hiking, fishing, and weekend outings. I-78 is about 8.5 miles south, putting Newark Liberty International Airport roughly 55 minutes away and Manhattan just over an hour out, while Allentown and the Lehigh Valley are a similar drive west. The feel is quiet and rural-suburban — mature trees, golf-course views, low HOA fees, and a golf-and-country-club atmosphere without the pace of the Jersey suburbs closer to the city.
