Dutchgate is a gated 55+ community tucked just off Dutch Broadway in North Valley Stream on Long Island's South Shore, spanning over 14 acres with 346 condominiums and townhomes behind 24-hour gated security. Developed by Heatherwood beginning around 2009 and completed in the mid-2010s, the community was designed specifically for active adults who want to trade yard work and home maintenance for a lock-and-leave lifestyle within easy reach of New York City. The community offers five distinct floor plans — the Andover, Bellaire, Carrington, Davenport, and Eastwood. Each unit comes with a dedicated parking spot directly in front of the building, with ample visitor parking throughout. The Eastwood is Dutchgate's two-story townhouse model at roughly 1,400 square feet, featuring soaring ceilings, an oversized second bedroom, two bathrooms, and two outdoor spaces.
