Country Pointe Plainview is a gated condominium community on 143 acres straddling the Plainview and Old Bethpage hamlets in Nassau County's Town of Oyster Bay, developed by The Beechwood Organization on land originally assembled in 1999 by the late Charles Wang (co-founder of Computer Associates and former owner of the New York Islanders). After years of community input and rezoning, Beechwood broke ground in 2017 and completed the 660th condominium home in early 2024 — all 660 market-rate residences sold out as of January 2024, making the community effectively resale-only today. About 90% of the suites and villas are reserved for residents aged 55 and older, giving the community a distinctly mature, empty-nester character while still allowing a small percentage of younger households.
