Country Pointe Plainview is a gated condominium community on 143 acres straddling the Plainview and Old Bethpage hamlets in Nassau County's Town of Oyster Bay, developed by The Beechwood Organization on land originally assembled in 1999 by the late Charles Wang (co-founder of Computer Associates and former owner of the New York Islanders). After years of community input and rezoning, Beechwood broke ground in 2017 and completed the 660th condominium home in early 2024 — all 660 market-rate residences sold out as of January 2024, making the community effectively resale-only today. About 90% of the suites and villas are reserved for residents aged 55 and older, giving the community a distinctly mature, empty-nester character while still allowing a small percentage of younger households. The residences come in three architectural formats: three-story condominium buildings with elevator access and indoor parking (floor plans from roughly 1,335 to 2,056 sq ft), one-story attached villas from about 1,656 to 2,148 sq ft with private one-car garages, and two-story semi-attached townhomes at roughly 2,694 sq ft with two-car garages, finished basements, and first-floor primary suites. Across the board, homes feature open-concept layouts, gourmet kitchens, primary suites with walk-in closets and en-suite baths, private balconies or patios, and individual heating and cooling systems. Buyers worked directly with the Beechwood Design Studio to personalize kitchens and baths at purchase, so finishes vary significantly from home to home on the resale market. The social and recreational heart of the community is a spectacular 29,000-square-foot clubhouse with amenities comparable to a private country club.
