Hilton Head Lakes is a 4,700-acre master-planned community in Hardeeville, South Carolina, just 20 minutes from the bridge to Hilton Head Island and about 22 miles from downtown Savannah. Bisected by Highway 278, the community is divided into two sides: the Golf Side, centered on an 18-hole Tommy Fazio-designed championship course, and the Lakes Side, where roughly 90% of homesites offer a water view along a 155-acre private navigable lake with 22 miles of shoreline. In total, 453 acres are preserved as natural open space, giving the community a distinctly Lowcountry feel with wetlands, woods, deer, wild turkeys, and herons as regular neighbors. The community is an unusual hybrid — most of it is all-ages, but a dedicated 55+ section, K.
