Del Webb Southern Harmony is a 55+ master-planned community spread across 576 acres in west Murfreesboro, Tennessee, roughly 40 minutes southeast of Nashville. When complete, the community will include 1,111 single-level homes built by Del Webb (a PulteGroup brand), with an estimated 7-to-10 year buildout that began in spring 2024. The community is Del Webb's first in Murfreesboro and sits off Highway 96 in the rolling countryside of Middle Tennessee, with Franklin, Nolensville, and College Grove all within an easy drive. The centerpiece is the Farmstead Clubhouse, a 21,516-square-foot resort-style amenity complex that held its grand opening in February 2026. Inside, residents have access to a state-of-the-art fitness studio, indoor lap pool, locker rooms, a demonstration kitchen, event and meeting rooms, and a ballroom-style gathering space designed for social events, classes, and hobby groups. The music-themed amenity campus is one of the largest master-planned amenity complexes in the greater Nashville area. Outside, the amenity grounds include a beach-entry resort pool with shaded cabanas and a large sun deck, eight pickleball courts, bocce ball courts, a large event lawn with an open-air amphitheater, an outdoor dining pavilion, a Veterans Memorial Park, an arboretum, a stocked fishing pond, and more than 20 miles of paved sidewalks and walking trails winding through the community. A full-time lifestyle director facilitates the social calendar, which includes wine tastings, dance lessons, trivia nights, pop-up shops, a weekly farmers market, card and game groups, and a growing slate of resident-led clubs and interest groups. Homes are offered across three series — Scenic, Distinctive, and Echelon — with 10 single-story floor plans ranging roughly 1,350 to 3,500+ square feet. All homes are single-family, single-level designs with two-car (and optional tandem/golf cart) garages, and feature energy-efficient construction rated under the HERS Index, smart home packages (Ring doorbell, smart thermostat, structured wiring), luxury vinyl plank flooring throughout main living areas, gas ranges, and stainless Whirlpool appliances. Popular plans include the Contour, Mystique, Prosperity, Compass, Hallmark, Prestige, Renown, and Stardom. Pricing typically runs from the high $400s to $1.3M+ depending on plan, homesite, and options, with a recent median sale price in the low $700s. The location blends rural scenery with suburban convenience. Downtown Murfreesboro is about 20 minutes away, home to Middle Tennessee State University, historic shopping and dining along the Old Fort Parkway corridor, Oaklands Mansion, Stones River National Battlefield, and multiple hospitals. Nashville is 40 to 45 minutes north via I-24, putting residents in range of the Grand Ole Opry, Nissan Stadium (Titans), Bridgestone Arena (Predators), Nashville International Airport, and Vanderbilt and Ascension Saint Thomas medical systems. Tennessee's lack of a state income tax and Middle Tennessee's mild four-season climate are additional draws for retirees relocating from higher-tax northern states.
