Lake Nona Golf & Country Club is a 600-acre private gated community in southeast Orlando, anchored by a Tom Fazio-designed 18-hole championship course that opened in 1986 and has hosted the Tavistock Cup PGA tour-pro event for years. Founded by the Tavistock Group as one of the first major neighborhoods in what would become the Lake Nona master-planned region, the community is the original luxury core of the area — a private, mature, old-money enclave separate from the broader Lake Nona Town Center, USTA campus, and Medical City development that grew up around it. Lake Nona G&CC is not deed-restricted as 55+, but the price tier and country-club orientation skew the resident mix toward established executives, semi-retired professionals, and high-net-worth families who want a private golf-and-lake lifestyle within minutes of MCO airport. The community's adjacency to MCO is one of its rarest selling points — international travelers can be wheels-up within 15 minutes of leaving the gate.
