Traditions of America at Summer Seat is an intimate 55+ resort-style community of 133 homes tucked into 77 acres of rolling hills in Ohio Township, just 12 miles north of downtown Pittsburgh. The community sits on the former Reilly's Summer Seat Farm — a local landmark that operated as a pick-your-own strawberry and pumpkin farm until 2015 — and before that was part of Pennsylvania's Depreciation Lands granted to Revolutionary War soldiers. Traditions of America purchased the land in 2015 and completed the first homes in spring 2017, with construction wrapping up around 2019.
