On Top of the World (Ocala, FL) is a gated, master-planned 55+ community with over 10,000 homes, set amid rolling countryside just west of Interstate 75. The developer, On Top of the World Communities (founded by Sidney Colen), purchased the land in Ocala (Circle Square Ranch) in 1975. The community’s construction began in the early 1980s. 🏠 Can you buy new builds there? Yes — new build homes are currently available in On Top of the World Ocala: There are move-in ready homes in neighborhoods like Longleaf Ridge, with a variety of models (2-3 beds, different square-footages) listed. There are also new construction listings via Zillow, Realtor, etc., and homes marked as “new construction” in the OTOW development. ⚠️ Potential Additional Fees Special Assessments The OTOW Central Owners Association sometimes imposes special assessments for large capital repair costs not covered in the annual budget. For example, in recent years, fees have been levied for roof replacement projects. Guest Fees For guests (non-residents) attending events or using certain amenities, guest fees may apply.
